Trifork Amsterdam is a software technology partner, focused on empowering enterprise and public sector customers with innovative solutions. One of our units, Assessible, develops a full digital assessment delivery suite. The delivery suite is used in high-stakes environments, across the Netherlands and internationally. To ensure our products remain secure and reliable, we are looking for an intern to help improve and strengthen our current security practices.
About the internship
Project timeline: Feb - June 2026 (flexible start and end dates)
You will work closely with our development and operations teams to identify which aspects of the software should be tested and under which conditions.
Some of the topics on the table include:

Guidance on which software to use for security testing
Focusing on open-source solutions, with commercial options considered when they provide clear benefits

Implement an initial scan for one of our products
Developing an extensible Proof of Concept
Ensuring the solution can be scheduled
Setting up reporting & alerting on test results
The ideal outcome is a brief market overview of available tools for DAST, pentesting, and other forms of security testing, along with a proof-of-concept implementation using the preferred solution. This implementation should support scheduled periodic checks and be easily maintained by our development and operations teams.
About you
Driven, enthusiastic, committed, with an analytical and grounded approach to delivering solutions
Interested in working on software products in the edtech space

Currently studying at a Dutch university or university of applied sciences and seeking a graduation project (bachelor's or master's level)
Preference for institutes located in the Amsterdam area

Studying or specialising in software security
Some experience with the Java platform is a plus
Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus
