Medior Java Developer - Amsterdam

Trifork Amsterdam is looking for a fearless Java developer with experience under their belt, to join their team working on highly innovative custom projects in the areas of blockchain, microservices, spring and cloud native technologies! The ideal candidate will be independently productive and will be able to tackle most tasks on their own, or understand when they need to reach out for help.

Trіfоrk experts develop business-critical enterprise solutions using open source software. We work with open-source technologies that are state-of-the-art, yet have a solid and proven base.

Checkout some of the technologies we work with at Trifork!

We also have extensive experience with different databases (SQL, NoSQL, search engines) as well as a wide variety of integration-related technologies like messaging and REST- and SOAP-based web services.

As the birth place of the Axon framework we're one of the few companies with several years of production experience in applying CQRS and event sourcing: approaches which are especially great for building scalable and auditable systems in complex domains, and have become very popular recently with the rise of microservices-based systems.

New projects often target the cloud, where we embrace a cloud-native approach of building and running applications including practices like DevOps and Continuous Delivery: this ensures your ideas are turned into working software running in production in the fastest and safest way possible!

We share knowledge on our technical blog:

Meet some Triforker's in our #triforkstories series

Within Trifork there are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills, to grow and take initiative. Our developers’ expertise and the willingness to grow, is the main priority at Trifork and we support this with internal trainings as well as via our external training academy - GOTO Academy. We can guarantee unbeatable knowledge in the field of the newest open source technologies and agile development methods, and also a ride on the company yacht when it's in town...

No more than 50 people in any one office!

At Trifork we have a rule that no company location can be larger than 50 people.

Why you ask?

We want to ensure no one location ever gets too big that you don't know who you're sitting next to. By doing so we can ensure an internal culture where everyone knows everyone - even just a little. This creates a strong, collaborative working environment where teams working on different projects share their knowledge with each other, which is at the core of the Trifork DNA.

Not Consultants for hire but a trusted Technology Partner

At Trifork we don't have a consultant model where we hire you and then ship you off to a clients location. We position our selves with our customers as their trusted Technology Partner and have a model that focuses on keeping our developers together working on cool projects from our office!

So what does the role involve and who are we looking for?
